"ED" AT THE PARK
Cooking feasts from far-away places, Ed Dibbles at the Park is Salisbury's only dedicated vegetarian and vegan restaurant! Everyone is welcome - whether you're a lifelong vegan or dedicated omnivore, we'll have something packed with flavour for you to enjoy. We offer an array of international dishes cooked from scratch, incorporating seasonal produce, plant proteins and wholegrains with homemade marinades and sauces.
Overlooking the lovely Greencroft Park, we are a short 5-minute walk from the Market Square. For those travelling by car, the Salt Lane public car park is conveniently just around the corner.
Our seasonal menu is typically small (like our kitchen!) but changes every few weeks. Based on recipes gathered from our travels around the world, lunch from Wednesday to Friday always features signature sandwiches, soups, salads, and other street food snacks, whilst our evening dishes served from Thursday to Saturday include a choice of nibbles, curries, 'Big Fill' burgers, noodles, and bakes. Whether it's daytime or evening, there's always a selection of homemade cakes and decadent desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth too...
On Saturday, we celebrate the weekend with brunch, but this isn't brunch as you know it! Think Mexican inspired scrambled tofu, Middle Eastern ful medames, and American waffles, to name but a few... Be sure to try our infamous Mumbai disco eggs (or 'no eggs') for a dish with a difference!
Whichever day you choose to join us, you’ll always find several dairy and gluten free options, but please note all dishes are prepared within the same kitchen. If you have any queries relating to allergens, please don't hesitate to contact us.
All meals are available to eat-in or takeaway - take a look at our menu or check out our Facebook page to tantalise your tastebuds. We offer a full range of hot and cold soft drinks to purchase, and operate a 'bring your own' policy for those wishing to enjoy wine or beer with a meal.
Reducing our environmental impact...
The catering industry is traditionally not particularly eco-friendly, but here at Ed Dibbles we're committed to reducing our carbon footprint and supporting other local businesses wherever possible. We have taken the following steps to try and do our bit;
We refill bottles, jars and containers with dry goods and cleaning products from Blueberry Den, who in turn sources products from local suppliers such as Wilton Wholefoods.
We source fruit and vegetables from Central Fruits, selected specifically because they purchase direct from producers here in Wiltshire.
All takeaways are supplied in recyclable or compostable containers, and we encourage the use of reusable coffee cups.
We store food in reusable containers, minimising the need for single-use plastics such as cling film.
Virtually all fixtures and furnishings that you see in our cosy café were purchased second hand!
