Vegetarian Buffet Menu

A selection of salads, dips, snacks and sandwiches, all served cold.  Perfect for offering to guests as part of a celebration buffet.  Please note availability of some dishes may vary seasonally.  Many recipes can be adapted to suit dietary requirements so please just ask!

 

Slaws (£1.50 per portion)*

  • Middle Eastern (vegan)

    • Cabbage, red onion, and carrot, with a Middle Eastern spiced lemon and agave dressing

  • Southern style (gf)

    • Cabbage, red onion carrot, and Pink Lady apple, with a creamy yet tangy yogurt & red wine vinegar dressing

  • Caribbean (gf)

    • Cabbage, bell pepper, spring onion and pineapple pieces, dressed in a zesty mango & orange yogurt with a hint of fresh chilli

 

Simple salads (£2.50 per portion)*

  • Middle Eastern Tabbouleh (vegan)

    • A staple of the middle east.  Bulgar wheat, diced cucumber, chopped tomato, and sliced spring onion, combined with fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon and some olive oil.        

  • Greek salad (gf)

    • Cucumber, vine tomato, red onion, black olive and feta cheese in a classic herby olive oil & red wine vinegar dressing.

  • Italian Pesto Pasta with Mediterranean veg

    • Wholewheat fusilli pasta, sundried tomatoes, and torn mozzarella with roasted red onion, courgette and red peppers, in a basil pesto dressing.

 

Deluxe salads (£3.50 per portion)*

  • Mexican rice & corn (vegan, gf)

    • Long grain rice with sweet corn, red onion, mixed peppers, cherry tomatoes, black beans and avocado, tossed in a lime, cumin and coriander dressing

  • New England potato salad

    • Diced new potatoes celery, eggs, black olives, and spring onion, all mixed together in an indulgent soured cream and mustard dressing

  • Greek Orzo & Tomato

    • Orzo pasta, sun-dried tomatoes, steamed green beans, sliced black olives, and capers, topped with crumbled feta cheese and toasted pine nuts

  • British Spring Quinoa (vegan, gf)

    • Tricolour quinoa, with sliced radishes, broad beans and spring onions, dressed with mint and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice

  • French Puy lentil with Roasted Vegetables (vegan, gf)

    • Hearty cooked puy lentils in a rich balsamic, fennel seed, red onion, garlic & tomato dressing, with roasted butternut squash, cherry tomatoes, courgette, and sweet bell pepper

  • Pad Thai (no peanuts, vegan)

    • Wholewheat, carrot and courgette noodles, with sliced peppers and spring onion in a Thai-inspired almond butter, tahini, sesame, lime and ginger dressing

 

Yemeni Falafels (£7.50 for 15 - approx. 5 portions)

  • These are falafels with attitude!  Homemade using dried chickpeas, fresh herbs, garlic, onion, middle eastern spices and a hint of chilli (vegan, gf)

 

Dips (£1.00 per portion)*

  • Tzatziki

    • A refreshing combination of yogurt cucumber, fresh mint, garlic, and lemon juice

  • Spiced Beetroot (gf)

    • A family favourite! Cooked beetroot, pureed with fresh mint, sweet ground coriander, nigella seeds and yogurt

  • Hummus (vegan, gf)

    • Everybody’s favourite, especially when it’s homemade.  Chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic, blitzed to a puree with a hint of fresh chilli

  • Broad bean & mint (vegan, gf)

    • Broad beans, rosemary, garlic and olive oil make for a simple but tasty dip.

  • Baba Ganoush (vegan, gf)

    • A ‘Moorish’ combination of baked aubergine flesh, garlic, parsley, tahini, lemon and cumin, with a sprinkling of Turkish chilli flakes.

 

Individual homemade flatbreads (£1.20 each)*

 

Quiche (8 slices) - £15.00 each

Homemade all-butter shortcrust pastry with a rich herb and double cream filling.  Choose from;

  • Broccoli, cheddar & tomato

  • Mushroom, goats cheese & spinach

Vegan quiche also available, featuring dairy free pastry, herb and silken tofu ​filling, and a selection of seasonal vegetables.

 

Sandwiches - £4.00 each (minimum order of 6)

All served on Henderson’s fresh malted bread

  • Free range egg & watercress with creme fraiche

  • Mozzarella, pesto, sun dried tomato & baby spinach

  • Cucumber & cream cheese

  • Goats cheese, onion chutney & little gem lettuce
